A Girl Like Amanda - S01 E22 (Story Episode)

Pius and three other boys are inside a bush clearing drinking and smoking cigarettes close to the village stream that morning.

Amanda and the children filled their buckets with the water from the stream as other boys and girls are playing besides the stream.

“Jude, who be that guy?.” Emeka, one of the boys with Phillip ask Jude.

“I no know,” Jude responds with a cigarette in his mouth.

“Mek we ask Pius, you know sey na fuckaholic him be. Him fit know her.” Emeka as draws the attention of Pius who is busy speaking with Abel.

“Pius, you don see that girl before?.” Emeka called to his attention.

Pius initially is angry until he saw Amanda.

“Oh my, what an empress of beauty.” He exclaimed unbelievable surprise.

“Come, we don tell you sey when you dey with Victor and Jidenna, you for speak English but when you dey with us you must follow us speak broken English or na pidgin.” Jude said warningly.

“And I have told you guys not to tell me how to speak. I went to school, you illiterates.” Pius angrily said.

“Come, Pius you dey mad. You go school na you dey follow us hang here inside this bush dey smoke our cigarettes, dey drink our hot drinks.

If you talk again I go stab you here and now, nothing go happen.” Emeka said as he unsheathed his dagger lunging at Pius with anger in his eyes till Abel intervened.

“Emeka, put that thing back before I get angry. Are you mad? Na him mek you drop out from primary four?. Don’t ever do this nonsense again.” Abel said nonchalantly.

“Sorry senior man but Pius dey mek me vex some times.” He said as he puts back the dagger in the sheath.

“Look, I also speak English right so if Pius wants to, there’s no problem. After all you hear what we say to you. You understand them.” Abel cautions him.

“Okay senior man, I don hear.” Emeka said in a ‘not so serious’ manner.

“So, back to the girl. Pius do you know her?.” Abel ask him seriously.

“This is the first time am seeing such a beauty like hell.” He said smirking.

“Then that means she is new into town. She looks like a city princess.” Abel said looking at Pius.

“F--k that Abel, I bet I can f--k her within three days.” Pius boasts laughing.

“A week, I give you one week. I bet 50k, if you f--k her within a week I’ll give you 50k. Jude and Emeka are my witnesses.” Abel confidently said.

“You’ve just lost a sum of fifty thousand naira.” Pius said walking away.

“Where you dey go Pius?.” Jude asks him.

“What do you think? Winning my fifty thousand naira of cause.” He said smiling at him.

“Pius, if you fail, you will pay me a fifty.” Abel said behind him.

“Don’t worry, I won’t.” He said as he ran up to Amanda and the children as they all were ready to leave the stream.

“That boy, na girl go kill am.” Emeka said as he walks out of the group leaving only Abel and Jude.
